Military send off
The village of Etratat has huge cliffs, several hundred feet high, at both ends of a crescent shaped beach, each with arches worn into the rocks. We decided not to walk to the top (you can see people there if you zoom in), especially after we heard that people had fallen into the sea taking selfies so we took a safe approach.
Our final stop was Vernon, France, just a bit smaller than Vernon BC.
This is the crooked little house we stayed in. It was pretty decent inside though.
You can imagine that driving into the Paris airport and dropping off a car might be a bit stressful. We anticipated that but I’m not sure we were quite prepared for the 112km 3 hour traffic snarl. At some point, though there was a French military flyover. I wasn’t quite fast enough so this isn’t my photo (Wikipedia) but it looked liked this. I think it was the military giving us an official send off! Au revoir.
